Episode 494 – Flooding impacts fish and wildlife, SFBW July 5 event, Tekiela on turtles, coyotes

Managing Editor Rob Drieslein and Editor Tim Spielman begin the show breaking down the myriad effects of high water and flooding on the wild Minnesota landscape, including young-of-the-year birds and steelhead in North Shore streams. Then Matthew Schultz from Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters drops in to talk about the organization’s Paddlin’ for the Boundary Waters raffle (currently underway at sportsmenbwca.org) and July 5th fundraiser at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth. Stan Tekiela visits for the third week in a row to talk big turtles and wolves versus coyotes. Tim Lesmeister helps wrap up the show with chatter on SCOTUS reversing the Trump bump stock ban, then they get Lesmeister’s take on possibly liberalizing the pintail limit.
