New York hunters will soon be able to travel afield without a back tag or a physical hunting license, if they choose.
That’s thanks to legislation passed by both houses of the state legislature this year and signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul. Another bill of interest to hunters and shooters makes some amendments to the state’s General Business Law, regarding the dangers to safety and health and the creation of a public nuisance caused by the sale, manufacturing, distribution, importing, and marketing of firearms.
