Minnesota DNR investigates employee’s social media post related to assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump

Minnesota DNR Assistant Communication Director Erik Evans didn’t expand on the details of what the social media post said and pointed to the DNR’s official statement as the information that’s available at this time.

The DNR says it is investigating an agency employee’s personal social media post, allegedly about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on July 13.
Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, the DNR released a statement on Facebook condemning the employee’s alleged post.
“We are aware of a recent social media post on a personal account associated with one of our employees about the assassination attempt on former President Trump. The comment is reprehensible and inconsistent with the views and values of the Minnesota DNR,” the statement said.
