A defunct bridge on popular Peters Creek in southwestern Pennsylvania has been transformed into a spot where children and handicapped anglers can target stocked trout and other species.
It is the latest milestone in the transformation of a once-beleaguered waterway into a viable recreational resource. The small decommissioned span at Snowden and Piney Fork roads in South Park Township had become an eyesore covered with graffiti and littered with trash when state Rep. Andrew Kuzma, R-Allegheny and Washington counties, envisioned putting it to use.
