Steve Carney: For late-May crappies, think bulrushes
The spring crappie bite is finally on, and targeting the bulrush areas of your favorite lake should be the name of the game right now. Choosing the best bulrushes is critical, because they often vary in density and the lake substrates in which they grow.
Here are some tips as crappies are spawning in shallow water near rushes.
