Last week I was faced with a typical guide’s dilemma when I arrived at my lake of choice and met my new clients for the first time. I thought I had a handle on the weather but somehow, some way, we got a nasty cold front just hours before we launched.
We were facing 30-mph winds and an 18-degree drop in temperature. That’s not the best scenario at 6 a.m. in June.
