Earlier this year the New York State Department of Health updated fish consumption advisories, which continue to be regionalized but are more species-specific. The Health Department’s Audrey Van Genechten joins the podcast to talk about the program, what fish are safest to eat and what precautions anglers can take when it comes to consuming fish. She also talks about the department’s recently updated fish advisory website.
